Protect & Grow the Business in a Declining Market
Gerry & Tim Good’s Experience Working With American Management Services:
On behalf of my brother and me, we would like to thank you and your staff for all of the work performed in the consulting engagement just completed here at Good Brothers Dodge. We would particularly like to thank Ed Rau for developing the controls and reporting mechanisms that will ensure continued profitable growth for the foreseeable future. We would also like to thank Paul Dickinson for his support of Ed.
Early on, the Amserv team recognized that although we did a very good job in many parts of our business, there were several areas that required a large-scale change. In particular, communications, from the top of our organization on down, need a substantial upgrade.
Also, the monitoring and control of daily activities had to be improved. Most importantly, given the current troubled times in the auto industry, we needed to develop a sales and marketing approach for our company that would not only protect us in a declining market but would allow us to increase sales and profitability.
With Ed’s guidance, we strengthened our management structure, including hiring the company’s first Used Car Manager who has already contributed additional volume and changed the way we manage that division. We have also implemented new reporting techniques to measure performance in all facets of our company. We are having scheduled management meetings to involve the Good Brothers management team in the determination of our future and improving current operations.
We have reports to measure performance and activity in sales and operations. Finally, we all know our roles in this organization, including most importantly, my brother and me.
We expect to generate over $1.5 million of profit improvement over the next three years. This will result in an ROI of more than 1000%. We would not have believed this to be possible at the onset of the project.
We would say without question that we would do it again if we were in the same position as when we started and know what we know now. Good Brothers is now a well-run company and in a position to remain that way. We would be glad to recommend Ed Rau, Paul Dickinson, and the whole team at Amserv to any clients who are in need of revamping their business to maximize potential performance.
Sincerely,
Gerry Good, President
