WASHINGTON, D.C., January 19, 2022 – The United States Conference of Mayors (USCM) honored American Management Services’s late founder, George Cloutier, with the award for Excellence in Small Business Leadership.
George’s lifelong dedication was assisting smaller, privately-held businesses across the country. After creating American Management Services in 1986, George went on to help countless business owners turnaround their businesses and maximize profitability.
In 1999, George co-founded the Partner America™ Program. Developed in partnership between the USCM and American Management Services, it aimed to help small business owners get the resources and knowledge they need to succeed.
In recognition of his tireless efforts, the USCM posthumously awarded Cloutier with the Award for Excellence by Small Business Leadership. Senior Vice President Angie Soety accepted the award during the 91st Annual Winter Meeting in Washington, DC.
After accepting the award on George’s behalf, Soety spoke on how Partner America™ plans to continue George’s legacy of working with and helping owners move forward:
“In George’s memory, I ask that you continue to roll up your sleeves and encourage businesses in your communities to engage the Partner America™ program, and to take advantage of resources and knowledge available to them.”
— Angie Soety, Senior VP
